This CO-HATY housing is located in a former hotel building.
It is privately owned and has 33 residential rooms. Since it used to be a hotel, almost every room has a separate bathroom, which is convenient for the residents.
The building needed to replace the heating system, which included the construction of a boiler room. We also replaced all utilities and the roof and insulated the facade.
In this project, we partially re-planned the larger rooms into living blocks and adapted the first floor for people with disabilities. We set up a coworking space, a children's room, and a laundry room in the building, and developed a project of the terrace for the courtyard.
A spacious dining room with regional-style wooden decor is one of the features of this hotel. After restoring and building the furniture, this room now serves as a community space for residents.
Funding for this project was provided by the German Federal Foreign Office in partnership with the humanitarian organization Sign of Hope, IM Swedish Development Partner, and the Association of Real Estate Specialists of Ivano-Frankivsk.
