SOCIAL HOUSING PILOT PROJECT
Horodok, Khmelnytskyi region

Area: 1068 m²
Capacity: 24 apartments
Status: completed
This facility is a new phase for KO-HATY. From restoring emergency temporary housing for IDPs, we have moved on to creating community-owned apartments for long-term residence.
The two-story building we chose was previously a kindergarten, which the community is ready to convert into housing. The large area made it possible to accommodate apartments for different types of families.
The IDP Council of Horodka plans to settle people who are currently living in emergency shelters in this building, and remain living in the region and integrating into the local community.
We developed design and estimate documentation for the reconstruction of the building for a change of function, performed an expert examination, and actually carried out the reconstruction of the building. 24 furnished apartments are fully ready for people to move in.
The main partner is UNHCR.
